Bolton is a twenty minute run from our base in Hindley Green, and it is a noticeably different job to Wigan. Bolton grew as a cotton town and its older housing reflects that — heavier stone construction in places, steeper ground, and a stock of large Victorian houses that were never designed around a small combi boiler.
