That matters more than it sounds when it comes to boilers, because Wigan's housing is not one thing. Where we find a sludged system we cleanse it and fit a magnetic filter as standard, because bolting a new boiler onto a dirty system is the quickest way to kill it.
Modern estates around the borough typically have a combi already in the kitchen or garage, a simple flue route, and decent pipework. These are usually clean same-day swaps and among the most straightforward installs we do.
Larger properties with two bathrooms and a long run to the taps are where a lot of undersized combis disappoint.
